It’s been another successful week for Group55 who are celebrating after picking up another business award.
The Ribble Valley based company was named Micro Business of the Year at the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBA’s), beating off the competition from seven other local businesses.
“Winning a BIBA is a huge honour,” said Group55 Managing Director Stephen Turner.
“A micro business that sells in more than 50 countries and controls the manufacture of more than 50 products needs a highly motivated and dedicated workforce.
“This award is a tribute to the extraordinary achievements of the small team at Group55. I am immensely proud that people choose to work at Group55 and it is entirely because of them that this award has been won.”
The latest win comes after their flagship brand Animology won a Best New Pet Grooming Product award at PATS 2015.
Mane Tamed, part of their new equine range, picked up the award with judges commenting: “This product looks smart, has a fun name and is amazingly priced. It is packed with vitamins and proteins and fills a big gap in the market.”
The company, which launched in 1999, could add to their success later this month at the PetQuip awards, which takes place on 27 September.
At last year’s event they won the PetQuip Exporter of the Year Award and have been nominated for three awards this time around; Exporter of the Year, Supplier of the Year and Product Innovation of the Year.
