Sustainability
B Corp certified. Responsibility built in.
At Group55, sustainability isn’t a side initiative or a set of promises, it’s built into how we operate, how we make decisions, and how we work with our partners.
We are proud to be a certified B Corporation, meeting globally recognised standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. B Corp certification independently verifies that we balance commercial success with responsibility – to our people, our communities and the environment.
What B Corp means at Group55
B Corp status requires rigorous assessment across governance, workers, community, environment and customers. For us, that means holding ourselves to high standards and continually improving how we operate – not just doing what’s required today, but building a more resilient business for the future.
It also means accountability. Our commitments are measured, reviewed and re‑assessed, ensuring progress is transparent and independently verified.
A practical approach to sustainability
Our approach is deliberately practical. We focus on changes that make a real difference to how products are developed and manufactured.
Our site benefits from a significant on‑site solar installation, supporting electricity use across operations. We actively promote sustainable, recyclable and compostable materials with both customers and suppliers, and work to minimise waste and wastewater impact across the site.
Sustainability considerations are embedded into our purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain processes – not treated as a separate workstream.
Responsible sourcing and supply chains
We work with suppliers who share clear commitments to ethical and responsible practices. All suppliers are assessed through a structured, risk‑based process, with ongoing review covering quality, regulatory compliance, environmental impact and ethical standards.
Our supplier mapping programme strengthens traceability and oversight across raw materials and components, supporting responsible sourcing and long‑term supply chain resilience.
Continuous improvement, not one‑off claims
B Corp certification isn’t the end point, it’s a framework for continuous improvement. We’re actively developing systems and data to better track energy use, waste and emissions, and to embed sustainability objectives across the business.
As we grow, we remain committed to improving how we operate, setting realistic goals, and sharing progress transparently.
