Job Purpose
- To support each other and wider teams to achieve world class Warehousing standards in which personal accountability, responsibility, to comply with structured training and continual improvement are expected.
- Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch/picking of warehouse materials, finished goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
- To ensure all Health & Safety procedures are complied with at all times.
- To ensure all Quality issues reporting is done effectively and efficiently.
- To support the business goals in achieving and sustaining ISO22716/9001, COSMOS, Soil Association and BRCSG Accreditations.

Job Context & Scope
- Reports to Team Leader.
- Close liaison with Team Leader and wider business to ensure decisions that are made are correct and implementation support the Business Goals and Objectives.
- Role and responsibilities may vary from receipting of goods, picking to packing, to co-packing and other general warehouse duties.
- Understand time and the criticality of it within our business.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Accurately pick and pack orders based on customer specifications using handheld scanners and pick sheets, promptly reporting any issues or shortages to the supervisor.
- Pick components for orders and ensure timely delivery to the production facility.
- Store stock in designated locations and complete stock replenishment tasks efficiently.
- Receive inbound stock deliveries, check for accuracy, and verify goods against the delivery note.
- Ensure safe and secure loading and unloading of vehicles, reporting any damage before completing the process.
- Transport pallets from the finished goods holding area to their designated storage locations.
- Assist with stocktaking (PI counts) as required.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in approach to work tasks.
- Motivation, development, and self-empowerment are key to demonstrating behaviours consistent with the company’s core competencies and CANDO attitude (see training matrix).
- Comply with individual training and development plans, ensuring training is prioritised and on track, in collaboration with the line leader or supervisor.
- Attend performance reviews as scheduled and complete all supporting documentation, both informal and formal.
- Support the development of continual improvements, including dispatch achievement, quality defect rates, and waste reduction.
- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness in the warehouse and yard areas, adhering to GMP guidelines and following clean-as-you-go practices.
- Adhere to all legal requirements, Business Health & Safety Policy and procedures, including weekly safety checks, mandatory training, and risk assessments.
Key Role Requirements
Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Good basic standard of Mathematics & English.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
- Basic user of Windows & Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the business.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and an eye for detail.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- FLT License: Reach and counter balance fork lift trucks.
Technical/Professional Experience:
- FMCG company/environment.
- Warehousing process experience.
- Scanners and warehousing.
